I love the City of Bishop, and unfortunately, right now, I see our community changing in ways that worry me. I am running because I want to protect our city from outside influences that don't understand our way of life, and because I believe our local council should be working to make things better for us, not worse. The real turning point for me was watching my own friends and the people I graduated with get forced out of Bishop. Between the rising cost of housing and the struggle to find good jobs, too many of our neighbors simply can't afford to stay here anymore. I am stepping up to tackle housing affordability and keep our community whole. Let's keep Bishop a place where the people who love this town can actually afford to build their lives.
Make housing more affordable and obtainable in Bishop, with a focus on keeping younger adults and long-time residents in the community they call home.
Protect Bishop's history and charm by preventing overdevelopment. Bishop should never become another Mammoth, and our skyline and character should reflect the town the people here love.
Push the city to do everything in its power to create and retain good-paying jobs for locals, so residents don't have to leave Bishop to build a career.
Have questions or suggestions? I would love to hear from you!
